Apple Watch Series 2 running Golf Shot app

Has anyone used the new watch with the golfshot app for a round of golf? How is the performance and battery life while using watches' GPS?

Sorry to hijack but just got a series 1 watch today and hoping to find out how performance is with golf shot. My first apple watch, just hope it lasts a round unlike the Android watches I tried with GolfShot....

I have been using the apple watch series 0 with the golfshot app for some time. It's sluggish because of the need to get the GPS readings from the iPhone 6. I now have another issue after recently upgrading to Watch OS3 and iPhone OS 10. The bluetooth connection drops out between the watch and the iPhone. I have to reset the bluetooth connection on the iPhone by turning off and then turning on the bluetooth on the iPhone. This happens while running with or without the golf shot app running.
Update: all is working after I reset my iPhone as a new phone
