Sold watch still connected to email acct?

I sold my watch on ebay. The buyer just got it and sent me a message saying he cannot activate it because it is still connected to my verizon.net email account. He said it states i need to remove the watch from my account. Anyone know what to do here?

Yeah we have tried this and the watch does not show up there. I feel bad for the buyer. Apple had me email them my invoice from when I bought it and after verifying it's my watch they will release any activation lock there may be on it. Problem is it takes 3-5 business days. Poor guy...wasn't my fault though ,I reset and un-paired it before shipping it to him.

He brought it to Apple and they resolved it.
