Where are the apps on my Apple Watch?

Are the apps that are on my Apple Watch necessary? Can I delete them without harming the phone?

Welcome to iMore! Once your Apple Watch is paired to your iPhone you'll use the Watch app to manage your apps. You can remove any non-stock apps you'd like. You access your apps in your watch by pressing down the Digital Crown.
