Blue Band is a Shade of a Different Blue

I was in the Apple Store this weekend checking out the new band colors and the sales person pointed out the blue band is a shade brighter blue than the original. I prefer the original.

The real question is, did they have the purple band?

They did have the lavender band, that almost looked more gray under some lights.

The blue sport? I thought it looked a bit different but was told otherwise. Now the blue leather loop has definitely gotten darker.
