What does it mean when adding native apps that you won't need you're phone ?

Looking forward to the native health apps that can directly contribute to the Activity App and the custom complications. Now I just need a Watch face that has room for more complications.

Apps that'll function independently of the iPhone.

Map my run? Probably not since the watch doesn't have it's own GPS...

What it means is that apps will have native access to all the watch's sensors and hardware and be able to run over wifi if you're connected to a hotspot your iPhone has used before.

Watching the keynote the other day, I got the distinct impression that OS 2 was actually meant to be OS 1. Six weeks after launch and they already have all those enhancements? Seems a little suspicious. Regardless, I'm looking fwd to OS 2.

Yes for sure apple was ultra-cautious with the watch release, we’ve had over 1 month of data, so its on schedule

and so far no bend/hairyarm/antenna/funnysmell gate issues

I had a hairyarmgate issue. But yes, watchOS 2 should have been watchOS 1. Will see see app updates slow to a crawl as developers wait for the new version?
