Hey guys! I really think that switching vibrate on iPhone should silent the watch as well, or at least have the option to reflect that change over. I know we have do not disturb but I like to have the vibration function just so I know without having to silence my Watch as well. What your take on it?

That is not something I'd waste my time contemplating. It only takes me a moment to enable mute for the Watch via the Apple Watch app or to simply rest my palm on the display for a few seconds when an alert comes is to mute the Watch. Still, I suppose the feature could be beneficial.

I guess that would be a good option, but I'm not sure how useful it would be for me.

I agree it would be a good idea, because a physical switch is so easy to turn on or off. But myself, I've set my Watch on mute permanently because the taps are enough.

Yeah your right, it's just something that came up because I was at the movies and I was silencing my phone then realized I have to silence my watch as well haha

Yeah I was going to just satisfy with the taps but those sounds are just so good, I like them!

I disagree with the OP. I want the flexibility to decide on which device I want to be notified, and in what ways. I don't like it to mirror everything. I like to keep the phone on vibrate most of the time, and keep the watch sound off too. I get the taps without the phone vibrating, and that's exactly what I was aiming for.

I respect that! And I completely understand why you would have them separate.

I imagine Apple would leave the mirroring up to you, as with Do Not Disturb.

I wish there was the option for the volume to mirror the iPhone. That way if some people want their phone silenced but not their watch, they have the option not to enable it.
