How do I enable location sharing on my Apple Watch?

Location sharing on Apple Watch

Does anyone know how to enable location sharing on Apple Watch?

When in the messaging app, if you force touch, it will give you an option to share your location. When I attempt to share my location, I get a message saying that location sharing is disabled. It's Enabled on my iPhone, and I can't find any other way to enable it on the watch. Any help?

That's what works for me. Does your tariff include MMS ? Try sending location to a contact on iMessage, if that doesn't work then ....,

Location options are configured on the iPhone. So, if you have that option set correctly, it "should" work. However, if you notice it's not working, try restarting your watch.

Took me forever to finally figure this out but in your iPhone go to
Settings
Privacy
Location Services
Messages
Then change to while using this app

That should do it!!

I've tried going into

Location Services but don't see Messages as an option
I then change to while using this app but it still doesn't work. My location svcs. are turned on on my iphone 6. I've also tried powering off the watch. Any further suggestions are greatly appreciated.

So I hate apple maps I had google maps. So I have the option under location to never share just apple maps. That's why I couldn't figure mine out. Probably didn't help but I hope it did.

Same here. No Messages under Location Services.
Maps is enabled While Using.

Messages showed up for me after I shared my location with someone from my watch.
