Does anyone know if Apple allows third party apps like Runtastic or Endomondo to access the HR sensor data? I know none of them do now, but now that they can begin developing Watch native apps, will they be able to? The Apple workout app just isn't as good as the third party fitness apps but it's the only one that can use the HR data now.

Don't believe 3rd party devs have access to this yet. If it's stored in healthkit then they would have access retroactively, but not in real-time.

Not yet for pretty much all of the hardware in the watch. The Watch Kit apps that have been created so far aren't the native apps that Apple mentioned last year.

Fingers crossed when the native app SDK gets released Devs will be able to get to all the fun stuff.
