I guess I'm glad I've kept my tattoos on my upper body.

Mom always said, "if you get tattoos, just make sure they don't peek out from your clothes." I thought she was old fashioned, turns out she was forward thinking! Lol.

Not my intent. But OK. My thread clearly got some people talking and some misinformation cleared up.

I'm glad that I got my wrist tattoo on my non-watch-wearing arm! While I don't have an Apple Watch, I may want to use something with a heart rate sensor in the future.

I have tattoos on my forearm and they do not go all the way to my wrist for professional reasons. But mine have enough open skin that the heart rate sensor senses the skin and they do not interfere when I moved it further up my arm to check.

But in the article they depict someone with sleeves which have a lot of blacks and heavy packed color. but I have to imagine this will be a problem for any heart rate sensors and not just the apple watch. I know they cannot fix the sensor in an update but perhaps tweak the sensor so it will at least allow to it to tell its connected. So that it does not cause problems for people using apple pay on the watch.

I guess I'm out with the heart rate sensor.

    Is your right wrist ink-free?

I'm a righty but wear watches on my right wrist but since this is an interactive watch, I may have to switch. Will find out when the watch finally gets here! 😜

I could wear it on my right wrist but I play Bass Guitar professionally and I would have to take it off when I play. For certain playing techniques my right wrist needs to be naked.

Awesome! I play bass too (a shorty -- Fender Precision Jr). 🎸 Just for fun though!

But yeah, also another reason why I haven't really been wearing watches for a few years! 😜

I don't have tattoos on my arms, but I have hair. Today during P90X, the heart rate was way off at times. Anyone know if dark arm hair between the sensor lens and my skin could impact it? Or sweat?
