I don't think they were "trying something new" with this release, they knew ahead of time that they didn't have enough stock to fulfill pre-orders and stock their retail stores too (not to mention retail store partners).

It's how they make money, sadly. Knowing they don't have enough supply to meet the demands. They know we will pre order and wait like dogs anyways

I ordered my 42mm SG BSB at :08 and got 5/13 - 5/27 ship date.

at :20 I ordered a a 38 SS with classic buckle and got it on the 24th.

figured i would let me wife play with it for 2 weeks and she would probably keep it. With mine being so late, I have been the one using it and she hasn't. lol

I went to the try on appointment on 4/10 undecided on size and band. I tried on both sizes and several bands. In the end I loved the 38 Milanese Loop. I was thankful it only had a 4-6 week shipping window since the one I thought I wanted had a June date.

42mm model shipping dates have been pushed back to July., I'm guessing their supply is constrained.
