Build to Order?

So it seems like apple literally had no stock on hand and was wondering if maybe they did not think it would sell in vast amounts, so instead of having stock on hand like with iPhones, they are pretty much building them as the orders come in, hence the large gaps in shipping times, even for early preorders. Thoughts?

Either that or the old sell out scheme to give the impression of it being in great demand, which causes people who weren't considering buying one to reconsider by making them feel as if they're missing out on something.

Agree. For me at least, the long shipping times made me glad I held off to see if AndroidWear does come to IOS and what it can do.
