My try-on was good in terms of learning - I determined that I indeed love the SS with black classic leather, but that I am very happy to buy the less pricy space grey with black sports band. So good.

But the try-on was less pleasurable as an experience. The associate was overly friendly, and weirdly stood just a little too close to me, so I kept wanting to step backwards when we were talking. And despite the friendliness, she was utterly rigid with the process, and would not let me match different bands. (I particularly wanted to try the space grey with the leather loop and the aluminum sports watch with the black sports band.) I was literally the only person in the store trying on a watch, so it wasn't a case of them being busy. I am a bit jealous of all the people who have written here about their great sessions.

In any case, watch ordered, coming in June! Very excited!

That sucks that she didn't let you try different bands.
The girl that helped me was really nice also. And while I was trying on different watches. This guy came over and just wanted to see the back of one of the watches that was on the table. And was about to grab the watch. I thought she was gonna Kung Fu his ***. Lol.

Has anyone tried the black sport watch with the blue sport band? Very curious and I can't find a single picture of that combo.

How did your "Apple Watch Try-On Appointment" Go?

I had an appointment to try on the Editions. I also tried the Stainless Steel one as well. Appointment went much better than I thought.
The specialists were awesome. Even after I told them I'm not in the market for an Editions, they still treated me like I was making the big bucks, felt darn good 😎😎😎.
Was there for about 45 min or so playing around with the watches.

After trying on the Editions & Stainless steel, I think they are both awesome. With the Editions I actually preferred the look and feel of the sports band, as opposed to the classic buckle. The classic ones look nice, but the sport band had a more comfy feel, and it also looks more seamless.

With the Stainless Steel, the Milanese Loop is the one to get. Instantly fell in love with it. Looks nice, and is super comfy as well.

If I was making celebrity money, I'd definitely get the Editions. The 18K Gold looks and feels great. But since I don't make that kind of money, when I do get one, I'll go with the  Watch Sport in black. I'll also get the Milanese loop as a second band.

My try on appointment was great. I definitely recommend going to an Apple Store and trying them out for those who haven't done so.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to schedule a try appointment and since my watch won't be coming until June I thought I'd go ahead and see it in person.

I tried on the 42mm space gray sport, 42mm SS with the classic leather loop and the 42 mm space black SS. First impression was "Wow" this thing is smaller in person.... in a good way. It really did look and feel like a regular watch on your wrist. I was surprised to see how thin it was and the screen was amazing. The SS models were very nice and I could see why it has such a hefty price tag. As for the bands nothing amazing but they did feel good on the wrist which is probably the most important thing. Overall I'm excited and happy with my choice of the 42mm space gray sport but now since seeing it and trying it on in person just makes me want mine even more.

Man, I wish I had an Apple Store close to me. As it is its over an hour drive...

I'm reading through all the threads and seeing the pics and am getting serious watch envy. I am looking at the 38mm sport white...and the more pics I see the more I want it lol.

Mine went great. I was asked which watches I wanted to try on (you can choose multiple). I chose the 42mm SG Sport (the one I ordered) and the Apple Watch with the brown leather band. Both felt great, and I look forward to purchasing some bands afterimage receive my watch.

I have been to a try one appointment 3 times! I just love having the watch on my wrist. The try-on appointments are great. The specialists are very informed on the product and will tell you anything you need to know. Definatly need to go try it on before buying an apple watch. This picture was taken at my first appointment,IMG_3213.jpg
