I am in the minority on this one. I say a resounding "HECK YEAH". It would be awesome. I currently use the camera on my phone to supplement my memory. I see something interesting, product, a funny sign, a business card, a lecture PPT screen, a phone number on a TV advertisement, my two year old do something in the moment "CLICK".

I would be a super bonus if I could do a quick facetime chat. Of course being Apple the implementation would probably be within the actual watch unit and seamless, albeit with limitations.

I'm 100% sure that camera will be in future versions, so they have something new to release a new watch

What even crazier is they are working on version 3 already

Yep. At least in the prototype phase. Version 2 probably already had people wearing it covertly.

Camera is kinda useless since you will have your phone near by with a much better camera.

If the watch had a camera, then people would complain of the picture quality. Better off they don't bother with a camera until the possibility of taking great quality pics.

yes but they will release a version with camera because "New Apple Watch! And now with Camera!" and everybody will buy the new version, and then they have something easy to improve for future versions and don't have to think much about what to do.

The Watch wasn't meant to be a small iPhone with all the same features. I see no point to a camera. If you want all that on your wrist, strap your iPhone on there.

I would love it but doubt it would be great given how much it would encroach on the watch face. Would rather have bigger, clean screen with no camera then any compromise of screen or camera quality.

Not really.... I like how it is, I don't think a camera is a must right now
Maybe in the future for FaceTime calls on your watch???

Unless it takes better photos than my 6+ I would never use it.

For me, having a camera on a smartwatch to take decent quality pics and videos, without sacrificing the aesthetic of the overall look and engineering is an awesome feat. Samsung was able to achieve that from their Galaxy Gear to Gear 2. It was quite easy and convenient to use without needing to take out my large Note 3. I am a visual guy, and my memory sucks, so taking a quick pic of which indoor garage floor I parked my car, street signs, and things I see at the store made sense...I don't have a creepy mind. 😜

For those who may think why I didn't just pull out my big phone? It was very easy, all I had to do was aim and say, "shoot". It was a convenient factor, like speed dial vs needing to press 10 buttons. For moments I need the best quality pics, yes I agree, I did use my phone. Having more options and features doesn't hurt.

I also don't think it would be ideal on the watch but I am looking forward to operating the iPhone camera remotely with the watch 👍🏼

Wouldn't be interested in a camera unless it was as good as my iPhone 6. Otherwise I would never use it. I do like the option to use it as a remote shutter for the phone though. That makes sense.

Yeah Apple needs a reason for us to upgrade to version 2, version 3 might get integrated GPS, version 4 LTE, version 5 cellular, version 6 Airplay (project to any screen for a bigger display) So in 5 to 6 years we should be able to ditch our phones.

Not really, just seems awkward and little too James Bond. I would also not be able to wear it at work. I'm surprised they allow phones due to the cameras. It's all secrety hush hush where I work.
