I'm surprised that the Christian Science Monitor is already talking about how to find Apple Watch deals. Spoiler: the article basically says wait about 10 months until January 2016 or maybe sooner in the case of Black Friday in November. That's about how long it took for iPad discount sales to start happening.

So is anybody willing to wait that long in the hopes of a discount, or will you be buying as soon as it's released?

Apple doesn't discount prices to move inventory, except when a device is being discontinued. You can get discounted prices on Apple's refurbished items page, but it should be a while before watches hit them. So, holding out for a Black Friday sale is foolish. I don't think I've ever seen a third party selling a new/current Apple product discounted more than $5.00.

10 months sounds reasonable. Unless the product completely flops, but I doubt that.
