I am very pro-AppleCare on my devices. Despite the painful pricepoint it will be for the watch, considering how easily abused a watch can be, I find it a necessary evil.

Are you planning to get AppleCare on your watch? Or will it depend on which model watch you pick up?

Definitely getting it. Even at $349, the lowest priced model isn't cheap. It's safer to pay the $49 it costs for protection, imo.

It's a first gen device so I would definitely get apple care on it. It hits real world and you see any issues arise in the first few weeks.

I will definitely get Applecare without a doubt. I've gotten it for iPhones, iPads and my MBP. Also when reselling it's always a great selling point to say there is still warranty. I think we're all missing the major point here though.......Otterbox Defender for the Watch lol

Unlike phones where I always say I won't get it for a few weeks after it's out and I inevitably buy it first day/presale it, this is something I can wait for, if I ever buy it. I haven't been "in love" with any of the smart watches yet, and I love my automatic Seiko still. I actually wear it every single day. The appeal of a heart rate monitor is nice, but I need to wait and see with this.

Definitely getting Apple Care, watches take more hits than phones for me, and are often more exposed to the elements.

I would definitely recommend getting AppleCare protection for your  Watch...

I'm active daily between my law enforcement job, cross fit, and my kids so the extra protection will help me sleep better

Probably a smart thing since we're dealing with the unknown at this point
