Well now, all the Newsstand users are finally speaking up. So not everyone hides the app in the "unused" folder.

I use Newsstand too. But only on my iPad. It's hidden away on the phone.

Every platform has apps you can't delete.

Just put it in a folder with the other apps you don't use and can't delete. Or ignore it.

I used it on my iPad Mini for a while. Don't use it any more. And never on my iPhone.

You guys crack me up. Having the apple watch app forced on the iPhone with the update is clear and utter advertising. Is it a problem? Uhhh not a major one. Like others have said tuck it away. Should have apple forced it on us? We don't really have a choice so what does it matter?

It's Apple's hardware and software, their ecosystem. If you don't want to play in their sandbox, don't. Otherwise, make use of the options available to you to accommodate your personal interests.

I can understand why some folks are upset being forced to have an app they will never use. I think Apple made a huge mistake in going with a 16 gig version of the iPhone 6 knowing that the OS itself is going to take a huge amount of space.

They should have had a 32 gig device as the smallest available device and we wouldn't be having this discussion, period.

No matter the phone memory size, people will find a way to ***** about anything. I put the app in a folder and have since forgotten about it until I came across this thread. LOL

One of the reasons for the 16 gig iPhone is to push people to the 64 or 128 gig. They sold 74 million iPhones so far. I don't know how many are 16gig iPhone's but I don't think it really matters.

Totally agree. Hide the freaking app or just get another OS?

I tucked it into a folder. Otherwise it would just taunt me every time I used my phone haha.

It's marketing, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. It's just how Apple does things.

Imo, it doesn't seem like a big deal. Just hide it in a folder and call it a day.

It does seem odd Apple puts a non deletable app on the iPhone that less than 10% of US iPhone users will use.

My spousal unit was mad when she saw the icon (shrug)

At least she wasn't mad at me for a change. Thanks Apple.
