Typical refresh schedule?

to me, this is the elephant in the room. Will Apple do their typical refresh and introduce a new watch thats water proof and longer charge etc?

 Watch is IPX7 certified water resistant. Apple says this means sweat during a workout, rain outside. Specification says 1M submerged up to 30 minutes. Tim Cook told person in Germany he wore in shower. So, no hard core swimming, but don't worry about dropping it in the toilet and immediately fishing it out! (And rinsing it off! Yuck!)
