Can you answer phone calls and text/iMessages with all versions of the Apple Watch?

Yeah, those of you who currently have an Watch, I'd like to know the answer, too....

According to the presentation last September, the answer is yes. The Watch has a speaker and microphone, so you're supposed to be able to make calls using Siri to pull up a phone number from your Contacts app, and to answer calls as well. The same for text messages. So, you'll need to be in a quiet enough area for the voice recognition to work properly.

I would assume so, all versions have the same sensors and specs. The only difference between them is the casings and materials. All should be able to answer/receive phone calls/text messages.

My guess would be yes from looking at the early reports and presentations, but we will have to wait a few more days to know for sure.
