Correct me if I'm wrong, but will the Apple Watch be part of a data plan to your carrier or not? I.E. $10 a line like with tablets.

Everything data related sounded like it was coming from your "paired iPhone." The iPhone's GPS. Sends the heartbeat by your paired iPhone. The texts come from the iPhone. Etc.

If that's true, there wouldn't be a radio for cell communications.

It sounded like other smart watches in that it's just simply receiving data over the Bluetooth pairing

No data plan. It uses the paired iPhone for all cellular/WiFi communications.

Huh? The watch will not require its own data plan

I know, but this is only the first generation. How many key features were missing from the first iPhone that we take for granted now? I.e. Copy and paste, 3rd party apps, etc. Who can say what Cook is cooking?

Ok that's fine and your opinion but it has nothing to do with the topic in question. I'm not trying to be rude- just saying

Unless it has built in 3g/lte, no. Seems like it is going to be a wifi only.

Why does everyone sound confused? There will be NO data plan for Apple Watch. It pairs up with the iPhone.
