I haven't used android for a phone in a few years. Was gonna buy the nexus 6 since I'm on Verizon but it's a little large and left me underwhelmed. I'd love a 360 with my iPhone though ha.

Ah, I thought you were a junky like me moving back and forth. Using the Nexus 6 has definitely left me underwhelmed. I had been looking at a 6 Plus for awhile anyway. Thinking about making the move, but it'll be a tough transition. Been on Android for quite awhile.

I have a droid mini as back up, and since it will get lollipop soon I can get my android fix with that. I used to switch a lot, but now just don't have the time to get a new phone every few months. Been thinking about the 6 plus, but now I think I'll just wait until the 6s plus or whatever it's called.

Yeah, I don't have the time (or money) to be switching all the time. I'd like to find something and stick with it. If I get a 6 Plus I think I may get a Nexus tablet down the road to get an Android fix.

I was going to do the same, but the nexus tablets have been kind of a let down as well this year. Maybe next year lol.

Too expensive? Probably. That's Apple though. They'll definitely set the high end of the smartwatch category. The value depends on what you, the user, gets out of it.

Eh idk. The moto 360 is a pretty nice watch and for $100 cheaper. The apple watch just looks bland to me. Maybe with version 2 they will improve upon that. That and if the battery is really as bad as they are saying (2-3 hours of usage? Come on now) It definitely won't be worth the price.

All I know is I got the viper remote start installed on my car and when the watch comes out I will be able to start my car from my watch. My life might just be complete at that point. Until the next big thing...

$4000? More power to them if folks are willing to pay it.

I'm waiting for the Apple Watch 2, 3, or even 4. If it gets less expensive (less than $300) and the materials and battery life get better (as long as a digital watch/ iPhone 6 Plus battery), then I'll get one.

I just can't see me buying it. I need all day battery life at the minimum. Don't get me wrong, it looks nice, but that does me no good if it is dead in less than 8 hours.

Estimates are about 19 hours real time, not usage time. So unless you spend all day with the screen on playing games or something on the watch, it should last all day.

That may be but I never get anywhere near the estimates on the phones, so not sure about the watch. I mean, either it will be super useful and I'll use it a lot and the battery will drain, otherwise it will not be that useful and I could have just skipped buying it. I eagerly await the next breakthrough in battery tech.

I'm really into mobile tech and I spend too much ๐Ÿ’ต on it for sure. I like the idea of a smart watch. That said, I had a Gear S for my Note 4 and while it was definitely a cool piece of tech and looked really neat it just wasn't "useful" to me. I've found that one of my 3 or 4 phones is ALWAYS within reach so there are very few scenarios that a smart watch serves. I want a ๐ŸŽ watch and will probably get one to "play" with but I have a bad feeling it won't be much more useful than the Gear S.

The Gear S at $300 makes me think the ๐ŸŽ watch may be too expensive competitively but I know you have to pay the ๐ŸŽ tax to play in this garden.

You bring up a good point. My smartphone is one reason I don't use a regular watch as the time is always handy.

I don't really see it as a watch. To me it's more of a small smart device on my wrist....

I think its a reasonable price.. it is a bit expensive but you have to remember that it's Apple. However.. the 18k gold plated one is just ridiculous. Its literally the price of a brand named watch >.>
What is the price of the 18K gold plated one?

No one knows. I've heard completely unsubstantiated rumors of 3K to 10K.

The 18k gold one isn't plated, it's solid 18k gold. That's why everyone thinks it will be so expensive, in the thousands of dollars. No one yet knows the selling price, but based on the cost of 18k gold, they're guessing ~$5,000. We'll see in April, or hopefully at a formal announcement in March giving the advance orders/in-store release dates.

$349 is a high starting price considering that the watch pretty much relies on the iPhone for everything. If you get another band and the larger faced watch you are looking at $500 easy. I can save that money and just pull my iPhone out of my pocket and do the same stuff plus more
