Has anyone paired a LTE version Apple Watch with a Samsung phone?

I don't believe this is possible. You CAN do the reverse though, as Android Wear watches DO work on Apple phones.

    Not possible.

You can pair it with an old iPhone, then keep this iPhone at home and use your watch with your Note 9. That's the way I use mine, receiving every single notification while using my Note10+ as my smartphone.
