Not sure if this has been mentioned, and I don’t know of any situation in which you would need to use it, but I realized randomly that the second generation Apple Pencil does work with the Apple Watch series 4.

I have the stainless steel model (sapphire crystal case/screen) - is that maybe the reason why it works, where the pencil has absolutely no effect on my iPhone X’s screen whatsoever.

Hmm. I just tried it and couldn't get it to do anything. Does it have to be paired with the watch?

I don’t think the watch and the pencil will pair... i was using the pencil with my iPad Pro and just decided to tap on my watch and the watch reacted to the pencil. I’ll try and take a video or something in my spare time!

    EDIT:

It seems to only work when the pen is paired to my iPad Pro and the iPad is unlocked.

    Very interesting!
