Best buy open box vs private party seller???

So I'm looking to purchase an apple watch series 3. I was looking at best buy open box deals (nike 42mm open box $299) then apple has a refurbished model (nike 42mm silver $259)... I can also buy a nike 42mm from either facebook marketplace or craigslist for about $200. I'm nervous to buy from a private party bc I won't be able to put apple care on it and if the battery takes a crap in 6 months or if I catch a corner and shatter the glass I'm SOL. I can get the Apple Refurb but its a week out, and the best buy one is in stock, plus its the space grey model...

Any one have a suggestion on what to do lol
