I purchased a 38mm gold and am reallllllllly considering taking it back to get the 42mm gold. I’m worried my AW looks too small.. I’m wondering if I am missing out because I got the smaller.. I’ve only been able to try on a black 42mm and I wasn’t a fan, but I’m wondering if it was because of the colour? Smh.

Anyone with the 42mm gold can you post pics? And maybe include your wrist size (if possible). Also- let me know if you’re happy with your watch/wish you went smaller etc.

    Thank you in advance!

I don’t have one, but in the pictures I’ve seen it looks pink. I have a very small wrist and both of my Apple watches are 38 mm. It’s obviously a personal choice. Can you go to an Apple store and try one on? Good luck with your decision!

While Apple does not designate a "men's" & "women's" version, they do sell the 2 sizes. It's best to go for the one you want based on the size of your wrist. You have a small wrist, so I would definitely recommend the 38mm for you. But really its up to you, YOU have to use the thing! lol

It’s a bit of a drive unfortunately (about an hour) - will probably make the trek on Friday if I don’t stop torturing myself over this!

I know you said it’s a personal choice, but I am so lost. What’s your feedback on the two pics I posted? The gold is my 38mm, and the black is a 42mm.. if I opted for the 42mm it would also be in gold..

All I have to say is that the photo of the 38mm on your wrist is what the 42mm looks like on mine. But, as long as you feel comfortable with the size of the 42, you will get better battery life. That's about the biggest issue that I can think of with the size difference. It's really about how you feel about it, not how any of us thinks it looks like, really.

I was going to get the 38mm and my husband talked me into the 42mm... and I'm so glad he did. In reality, the most important thing is you... and how it feels and fits. If you can go somewhere and try on the other colors before you decide, do so. It may help! Here is a pic:

Sorry...the images are broken, so I can’t see them. Tell me, does the gold look like a rose gold??

It’s actually a really nice colour. It changes in every light - sometimes it’s a copper, coppery gold, gold, rose gold. I’m actually not a gold/rose gold fan and I really wanted/picked the gold and if I go bigger I’d stick with the gold.

Personally I prefer the 38 on your wrist, the 42 just looks to big on you, IMHO. For SURE the rose gold color looks incredible on your wrist, the black with the sports band, not so much. HOWEVER a rose gold 42 would look good on you also. I know its a tough choice, BUT once you make it, just get the watch and be happy, NO REGRETS! lol

I am not a person to ask. I have a very small wrist and the 38 mm is my choice. I would not like the 42 mm. I want to wear my watch. I don’t want my watch wearing me.
