Over the past week or so, I've noticed my Apple Watch screen is locked, when I raise my wrist. Thus, needing my PIN to access the watch.

Now, this is bearing in mind my iPhone X is/was unlocked, and I haven't removed my watch from my wrist.

    Anyone else notice something similar?
I am beginning to wonder if I go out of range of my phone, is it now locking because of that (a new feature, perhaps)...

I have not noticed this. I wonder if you have an issue with the heart rate monitor, which is what the watch uses to determine that you are wearing the watch on your wrist? If you open the heart rate app on the watch, does it show any readings?

Yes, the heart rate app shows data. Rather odd. I will monitor over the next few days to see when exactly it happens.

    Thanks
