That’s not what I want to hear. I still haven’t been able to update, and my OG is already having battery life problems. A 12 hr shift is nearly killing it.

Depending on how use use it during a shift, you can go into Power Reserve mode. They basically turns your smartWatch into a Watch. It will tell you the time and that's about it. You can turn it on and off as needed.

Again, depending on your use case, you can turn off WiFi and BT. You can turn off Background App Refresh in the Watch app.

If you've used your OG from day 1 of launch, batt life would've taken a toll. But mine was after 2 replacements for back sensor panel popping off and was last replaced late 2016. Now I just use it on my overseas trip back to my wife's hometown in Malaysia, paired with my 6s Plus hence the batt life still acceptable.

It's my 6s Plus' batt that's taking a toll now.
