Apple TV app auto selection

Just an idea for those with several Apple TVs in the house.

Wouldn’t it be nice if as part of TVos and iOS 11 that the app on the iPhone would automatically connect to the Apple TV that it’s closest to.

Same as how the Apple Watch knows it’s close to a Mac for Auto unlock.

It’s a small thing but when I go from room to room it would be really helpful just to have it select the appropriate one.

Interesting idea. Perhaps it could be more of a settings or a popup. "AppleTV detected would you like to connect" And then once connected you could do casting to the AppleTV from the phone. I think it would have to be optional and a setting you could disable since there might be multiple iPhone in the same room. Mom, Dad, little Timmy, etc

Yeah. That’s a good point.

It could still be done with multiple phones. Once a phone has connected then the others are not allowed until the original one disconnects
