For how long Apple Tv 3 will be usable?

Should I buy Apple Tv 3, main purpose is Mirroring my iPhone 5s and iPad Air 1.

Please share the pros and cons of buying it now.

It's the one I have and works perfectly. It really does the job for my streaming needs.
It doesn't have tvOS (TV 4 only), it's not last gen (so less expensive) and there MIGHT be a new TV coming out

If your primary purpose will be mirroring your iPhone and iPad Air then go ahead and purchase the 3rd generation TV.

With home automation and especially HomeKit enabled accessories getting cheaper and more and more affordable these days, I bought an TV 4th Gen.
If the price difference between the 3th and 4th gen is not that much of an issue for you, go ahead and get the 4th gen.
If HomeKit is not something you're interested in, then the 3th gen TV is definitely not a wrong choice.

The biggest con of the 3rd gen is the lack of an App Store, which was introduced with the 4th gen model. The 3rd gen is like buying an iPhone and only being able to use the built in stock apps. It's doable but not nearly as fun.
