Why Buy an Apple TV?

I personally prefer the amazon fire stick...much easier to add Kodi

One should be able to access the Google Play Store using Chromecast and install KODI from there.

If streaming some stuff is all you want. But I would think Apple TV offers a great deal more than the Apple TV app does.
I would rather see Comcast's Xfinity Stream app on Apple TV. But for some reason, they don't want to play together, even though there's a high demand for it.

What can you do with an Apple TV? Never had one.

The Apple TV has an App Store with a ton of apps more than just streaming content. Grub Hub has an app as well as Dominos. A lot of shopping apps too. The Apple TV can also act as a HomeKit hub for your HomeKit automation. There’s a ton of music apps too and health and fitness apps. It is amazing. Adobe Light Room also has an app.

• great compatibility with Apples other devices
• the games are great for kids
• if you already have a library of apple content / movies etc from your laptop its a great way to access them on your tv
