Hello,
So I would like to get the new Apple TV, but I have this one question that I'm pretty sure will end up being a no, but here it goes.
Can I plug in and use the Apple TV on a MacBook or iMac?
I'm asking this because I'm a minimalist, looking to not have a lot of stuff and try to live in a smaller house. I have a 4K 55" TV, that I got to play my PS4 on. Since I got the 3.50 update, I can play my PS4 on my Mac. It got me thinking, do I even need this TV? I know PS4 can Netflix and I could just use my Mac to Netflix, but I like what the Apple TV offers. I want to have just my iMac, mounted on a wall, PS4 has access to it and I have a Apple TV Hooked up to it as well.
I like iOS better than OS X and try not to have crazy cords everywhere. It would be cool to use my iMac as a monitor for the Apple TV and PS4, when needed and use the Mac for work as well.
