What's the best way to manage 1000's of photos and then easily stream to new Apple TV?

Finally moved 1000's of pics from old SCSI drives to my iMac. Using the Photos app, although I'm sure not to it's full potential. Looking through your extensive library of content for the best Photos How-To and then how best to share newly organized photos with the new Apple TV?

my guess the easiest way would be icloud because its built into the apple tv
