Do I need to purchase the new Apple TV for every TV we have

I'm interested in updating my Apple TV to the Apple TV 4th generation, so I'd like to know do I need to purchase 1 for every tv?

Welcome to iMore! If you want to be able to use TV on every TV at once you need one for each TV. Otherwise you can probably get away with moving the TV to whatever TV you're using at that time.
