    Welcome to iMore! That's a great question. I've heard of ways of "tricking" wifi hotspots into accepting AppleTV but it involves extra equipment and advanced knowledge. As for the new gen 4 AppleTV I'm inclined to think this is still the case. The inherent problem is that AppleTVs don't have web browsers.

    I doubt it unless once you connect the Apple TV software has some sort of pop up
