Apple TV remote not working Gen4

New Apple TV remote is not working with my unit. Tried repairing, rebooting etc to no avail. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes. I'm on with applecare now "Bob" says in the 5th person he's talked to with the same issue. I used my old school Apple remote worked without issue.

He walked me through hiking menu and up. Tried syncing through "learn remote" via settings. Nothing.

I'm on home now so someone can "take care of this".

UPDATE.

So holding menu and "+" worked. Hassle but I must say the new layout is slick and remote handles wonderfully.

Reboot worked for us & then holding menu + same time and after many tries ! Finally worked !!!!

I bought 2 and neither remote was working. Called support and they have me taking them back to the store and exchanging them units out.

Mine works good only bummer is I can't use the remote app on my phone like on the other generations

I rebooted Apple TV unit not remote

There used to be a way to reboot the Apple TV using the remote by pressing two buttons on the remote. My question was, is there to do that now?

Not sure! Not thrilled with this at this moment. Hard to move on Hulu app right now.

Go to the iBooks Store and download the Apple TV User Guide for the owners manual for the new Apple TV. Be careful to use the exact title. There are third party guides that are not free.
