Things to do with an Apple TV?

I got an Apple TV 3 for Christmas and since then it has basically just been sitting in my entertainment center, unused. So what are some great things I can do with my Apple TV?

AirPlay from iPads & iPhones, and compatible Mac computers, playing your iTunes library... streaming from Hulu, Netflix, and other sources from it... sports from NHL & MLB...

YouTube, or video in general, I can barely stand to watch things on my phone anymore. If I'm home, it's on the TV.

I was actually deciding to get myself an Apple TV to but dunno if I should or if I will have any use for it.. But the idea of it does excited me maybe I need more convincing

Screen mirroring of your iPhone or iPad or Mac.

Using that with FaceTime is fantastic especially if you have several people trying to view the caller(s).
