Just wanting to mention that I just bought chopper form the Mac app store and bought the equivalent gave for my iPod touch. I am able to use the iPod touch as a controller for the Mac version of chopper via wifi. Isn't it just a logical leap that we can do this on the big screen with appletv as it's using an iOS? I hope this comes true.

I would think that they would implement something like that, it only makes sense.

Reading about the iOS 4.3 beta, it sounds like the will be adding more airplay API's to allow developers to add in airplay to their apps! It's coming!

Why must the apps use airplay. Why not just have native apps?

Apple TV may be Apple's tentative first step (half step, really) into eventual console gaming?

They have wireless controllers (iPhones, iPod touch), they have the OS which already supports games, they have a means of selling/distributing games (App Store)...

Now if this ever comes about I will be chuffed to billy-O!
Airplay has such potential... I was a tad gutted that the BBC iPlayer didn't have this option today
