Apple TV 4K Pre-Order / Waiting Room

Are you going to preorder the Apple TV 4K? Have you been waiting for this, or will your previous gen Apple TV do you just fine?

Probably not unless I sell my Roku Ultra. I was tired of waiting for Apple to offer 4K HDR and my Xbox One S Netflix app is horrible with it so I had to settle already.

110% Sure I will be ordering two of them. Running five Apple TV's now but only 2 4K Tv's. 3 4th generation and two 3. This will def help me get rid of my TIVO boxes though.

I am a recent convert to Apple platform. Since I have the new iPad Pro I will be replacing my Roku 4 with the new Apple TV as soon as it becomes available. Roku 3 and Roku HD were great but have not been happy with the Roku 4. Look forward to getting rid of it.

I did get a 64 but mine is on a 2-3 shipping wait. Since I was using my Apple friends discount to preorder, I had to wait for him order this morning. It was already back ordered by the time he got my order in.

Status? Not much of a status besides it shipping I’m 2-3 weeks. That’s what the order says.

I was planning to order as soon as the site opened up, but slept through the alarm for about 30 minutes. Not used to shopping at 3:00 a.m. but got the order in at 3:20 EST.

I got the 32gb. Shipping still says 22 Sept. I finally called spectrum today and cut the cord. All I have now is Hulu, Over the air. Ill see how this plays out. Might switch my Bolt out for a HD Homerun or go straight to Plex so I dont have to switch inputs anymore.

Good deal. Cable TV is on its way out with its excessive commercials and low quality content as of late. I wouldn’t mind cable if I could just choose 8 channels so I can get my local sports teams but they expect me to pay for channels I’ll never watch. That’s why I cancelled XM Radio and went with Apple Music. I want access to only what I want and when I want.

Does anyone know if Apple TV fixed the issue where you’d stream a video from your phone but the video would stop if your phone display turned off? That drove me away from my last Apple TV because I wanted to stream from Safari and the screen shouldn’t be required to be on.

I have two AppleTV 64GB 4th Gens but will likely upgrade to the new 4k, the only real reason is my TV's are 4k TV's so I would prefer to get the full benefit plus rentals in 4k HDR will be worth it. Games haven't been a big draw for me on the Apple TV not as much as I had hoped so the storage isn't as critical.

I have a 4th gen & I've never had an issue with that, so I'm assuming it's fixed lol

It wasn’t a glitch it was software that was updated when ATV 4 came out.
