BoA - Apple Pay snafu

With regards to Bank of America customers reporting being double-charged when making purchases using Apple Pay, both parties, Apple and BoA, seem to have pointed at the other as the source of the problem. This makes me suspicious, and I get the feeling neither know what the problem is. How about you?
