Family subscription and one moving to dark side

We have enjoyed iTunes Match since launch and made the jump to Apple Music when the family plan was launched.

The five of us have enjoyed it but my son probably the most as he tends to stream his 10,000+ song playlists.
He is now looking to change his iPhone to a Samsung S7 edge. I have done my best to try to keep him in the Apple ecosystem, but to no avail

Will he still be able to subscribe via the family sharing with his Apple id?
If not and he starts his own android Apple music subscription will he be able to transfer his playlists?

I had iTunes on my S7edge. I sold my s7 edge for iPhone 7 plus though. He's messing up

Update. We could not initially get Apple Music to connect on the Samsung.
Once we had turned off iCloud music on the iPhone 5 all was good.

So 4 Apple users and 1 Android (boo hiss) are alone the same family plan
