How do I turn off the free 3 month Apple Music offer?

Apple posts an offer for 3 mo free music. I do not want and have no clue how to get it to stop playing

How to turn off Apple Music's automatic subscription renewal

  1. Open Apple Music.
  2. Tap the Account icon in the upper left corner of the app, then tap View Apple ID.
  3. Select Manage under the Subscriptions subheader.

  4. Tap Your Membership above Apple Music Membership.
  5. Turn the slider next to Automatic Renewal to Off.

You may also mean the notification settings for Apple Music. It may be causing it to send you pop up notifications about this 3 month free offer. I would advise you to take the offer, enjoy the 3 months and just turn off renewal as D has suggested, HOWEVER, if you don't want to be notified, read further. You just need to disable the notification settings for Apple Music in Settings, it's explained in this iMore blog...
