Best brand of SSD for MBP mid 2012?

I have the Mid 2012 MacBook Pro (A1278) and am looking to swap out my hard drive for a SSD drive of the same size. Originally I had thought I wold just replace this MBP with one of the new models, or even the regular MacBook.....but they all seem to lack the customization capabilities of my current MacBook Pro, so I guess I will just upgrade the hard drive.

Is there a best brand hard drive to buy? Best place to buy?

I'm new to all of this, so any tips would also be greatly appreciated.

I can't say if there's a "best brand' of SSD drives, but I can tell you that the usual players all make them. Western Digital, Sandisk, Samsung. Since they are all well-known brands, choosing any one of them should be sufficient, in my opinion.
