Hi - I have all PC stuff but looking to get a MacBook just to edit videos. I have 3 different cameras and the editing tools on PC work but I've seen better for Apple. What's the best bet (used/refurb) for ~1K?

Thank you!

How old would you want it to be?
How big (13,15,17")?
Would you mind little to no storage or does it have to have a lot?
Do you need a cd/dvd drive?

Good Qs...
Screen size doesn't matter, same thing with age. I'd like decent storage and don't need cd/DVD. The only thing I really care about is being able to process video quickly.
I suppose I'm looking at processor and RAM?

I forgot to ask about that lol i assumed 8gb is the minimum you needed since 4 probably wouldn't cut it. Yeah but i think i may have a few things just give me a few.

Refurbished 13.3-inch MacBook Pro 2.7GHz Dual-core Intel i5 with Retina Display - Apple

It seems as though from 2014-2015 you can ge a 13' with 8gb of ram and an i5+ for under 1100 500-750gb of storage
for the 15-17' models you will need to get a 2012-2013/4 to get the 8gb of ram with an i5 or better with 500-750gb of storage is what i'm seeing. have you tried any places like amazon or craigslist or ebay?

Sweet, that's what I was finding. I looked on Craigslist, Amazon and Newegg. There were a ton of configurations, not quite sure what the best option would be. I see older i7... but how does that compare to a new i5? Same with RAM... new ram vs more old ram lol. So many choices which is why I made this post.
