can I download pictures from my iPad to a USB stick without transferring them to my computer first?

I want to transfer some pictures from my iPad to a digital picture frame and also to an external hard drive. Any ideas please?

Not sure if that's possible without using a computer. My personal method is to use Dropbox and the auto uploader it has for my pics. Then they're available from any device and easily transfered from the computer to USB.
