Why won't my iPod notification bar scroll back up?

my ipod notifacation bar wont scroll back up

my iPod home button doesn't work and I cant turn my iPod off because I cant swipe the "swipe to unlock" nothing is working I left it on charge last night and it didn't do anything im really annoyed

Welcome to iMore! Reset your iPod by holding the power button and home button down until you see the Apple boot logo. You should be good to go!
