Why does my iPad show the dates for Christmas and Boxing Day as the same days this year?

why does my iPad show Boxing Day on the 25 th and the 26 th December this year and Christmas Day on the 25th and 26th of December next year. These dates cannot be edited.

Boxing Day is a holiday traditionally celebrated the day after Christmas on the 26th of December. I'd have to see that calendar to say any more. Maybe a glitch?
