I?m looking for a quite small touch screen for a project i'm thinking of. Then it hit me, I have an old iPad 1 in a drawer somewhere. Does anyone know a good way to convert this baby to a touchscreen? I have found some wireless solution over wifi, that's not acceptable in my case. I want it to run by some cable or something. The computer will be a smaller type of computer, like a micro atx or a old laptop or something. Something running windows 8.
And, i'm note really interested in sofware (only) that solves my problem. I want the ipad to be some kind of directly connected touchscreen. Any suggestions?

If you don't want to use wireless, then no. Maybe someone else will have some input.
