Why don't my iPhone and iPad show the same progress in a game?

iPhone and iPad dont show same progress in game

I am hoping someone can assist. I recently had to re-create an ID which I had used for many years before, but had accidentally deleted. I managed to get everything back, but my progress in a game (Clash of Clans) has been lost on my iPhone, while on my iPad I still have everything. Even when I am logged in to Game Centre under the same username/password and going to the actual settings in the games to sync them it is just not happening. Been to a local iStore and after about 45min of the guy trying various different options to get the problem solved I walked away unsuccessful. Can anyone assist with this?

I would say if the Apple Store could not help you, your next step would be to contact the developer and ask for assistance.
