Well it be for the "family". I haven't decided on the 21.5" or the 27" yet but I don't think we really need the 27". That being said, I want the 27".
Go for the 27". You won't regret it. When I sit in front of my 20.5" iMac it looks tiny to me. The 27" is a beautiful machine.

No desktops for now, only the MacBook Pro, Mid 2012 and Air(11; early 2014).
I am looking for great deals on an iMac for my newly set up media content and content design business and I'll appreciate any feedback from users on the 27" iMac for stated purpose.

MacBook pro 15 (late 2013), the best thing is the portability of it.

I have a 2010 Mini which I use regularly. Also a 2010 13" MacBook Pro that my wife and daughter use.

I have found I enjoy using the Mini more than the Pro lately. Larger screen is easier to work on. Don't really like sitting on the couch anymore to work on stuff with the Pro. Rather use my iPad at those times and sit at my desk to work at the Mini.

Three laptops (all 13-inch): 2009 MacBook running Mavericks, 2011 MacBook Pro still running Snow Leopard and 2011 MacBook Pro running El Capitan. I'm actually considering updating the former MBP to macOS Sierra, but we'll see.

Used to have a 2011 Mini, then added a 2015 MBP 15". Mini died, so replaced it with a 2015 MBP 13" in a Twelve South stand.

MBr early 2015. I would like to upgrade to a new MacBook Pro and I don't even need the touch bar. We shall see when I finally get around to it.

2011 13" MBP and a 2015 21.5" iMac. Love both though the MBP is starting to show some age.

I'd love a laptop, since I can always use it for home and when I'm outside. I like the idea of portability.
