While on LTE, HD YouTube videos do not display in HD. Why?

So i am on LTE network and when I try and view HD videos on YouTube why aren't they HD on my iPhone 5s?

Unfortunately the app won't let you watch HD unless you are on wifi. It's not quite as nice as the app, but you can watch HD videos on the mobile YouTube site in the browser.

This YouTube app pisses me off. I have LTE which is after than my wifi at work and I can't watch had videos unless I'm on wifi.

Agreed. I bookmarked m.YouTube.com on my home screen to use when I'm out. There are also quite a few apps like mctube or mytube, etc that let you watch the hd streams.
