[help] apple store only shows apps which your phone/ipad/mac can use, right?so...

So i bought a 2006 macbook.
im using os x lion. and i see the montain lion on the appstore.
so it means i can buy and install it? the guy who sold me the computer said the limit is the lion.
but i use iphone and ipad and the apps that i see on the app store on each decide are only the ones they can use.
so if I'm seeing it availabe, I can use it? thanks in advance.

This is from an app called MacTracker that I have used multiple times and found it to be quite accurate.. according to info it provides, no it won?t run it... but confirm the specs and then see:

Thanks for so fast reply.
Well I already read today somewhere saying montain lion will run 2007+ macbook.
Mine is 2006.
The strange was saw the OS there. I wont buy it cause im not sure it will run. But it shouldnt show on the app store if the computer cant use it. hmm..
